Win with the cricket world cup

March 14th, 2007

Hey BlogMad people!

Remember the fun we had with the Soccer World Cup?

Well, the ICC Cricket world cup has just started, and you can place bets using your blogmad credits on the games.

Go to www.blogmad.net/worldcup to join in the fun.

For those who do not understand or follow cricket, Here are a few hints and tips about each country that may assist you.

Australia - Have won the cup previously and are current holders, survive well under pressure
Bangladesh - suprising team, either do really well, or really bad but they will not win the cup
Bermuda - Not a great cricket playing nation, at all. Also lowest ranked for this world cup.
Canada - Should stick to ice hockey.
England - England have the team to win, however they can falter under pressure but are formiddable and when on top form are devastating.
India - India have a history of being an incredibly good cricket side, can take the cup
Ireland - Not a cricketing country and should lose most, if not all, of their matches
Kenya - Kenya are a team that most other teams love playing against, because records are set when playing against kenya, they wont even pull a small surprise.
Netherlands - Not a great cricketing country either but should win one or 2 matches
New Zealand - Surprising package, have never made it far in a world cup but have the right stuff, completely obliterated England recently in a series. Do not underestimate.
Pakistan - WERE a great cricketing nation, now without some of their star performers, Pakistan can and probably will go far, but not win the cup, Recently obliterated by South Africa in a series.
Scotland - Should stick to golf and making Scotch, will not win a single game.
South Africa - Top rated side for the cup, have come close but have never won. Current favourites.
Sri Lanka - Another surprise package, will go far but not win the trophy.
West Indies - Home grounds advantage. Could go far.
Zimbabwe - Without their best players, Political problems have destroyed their cricket prowess, can go far but wont.

********************************************

Progress on eXlinks is definitely moving forward! Many people have asked us whether eXlinks was a fly by night idea and there is no way we would let any of our members down by pulling a stunt like that! Darryl has been slaving away to get eXlinks ready for its alpha launch on the 1st of May 2007 w e’ll be sending another newsletter to the people that have joined eXlinks so far giving them insight as to how everything is going to fit together, including all the info on the features!

New Credit Allocation
********************************************
The good news is that the new credit allocation system is functional and has been for the last 2 months. The bad news however is that still many people are using the old system which is not optimised for best results so we have decided to automatically move everyone over to the new system. Those that were not on the new system will find that the blogs have been set with default percentages and allotments.
